Verso un Quadro Logico Unificato per l’ICT in Azienda

ICT experts and users often struggle to communicate in a clear way. These shortcomings contribute to non-trivial economic losses in business and institutions as proved by recurrent surveys. This lack of understanding is not a wordy problem; it does not come from semantic confusion, rather failures to properly understand derive from the insufficient theoretical basis of computing.
We discuss a logic-deductive frame that makes an attempt to justify various aspects of computing and to improve the methods of work. This theoretical frame pertains to a base research and in consequence of this origin it provides contributions even in other directions such as teaching, consulting, management etc.
 

The speaker

Paolo Rocchi is an Emeritus Docent at IBM in recognition of his extraordinary scientific contribution and scholarship, and is a contract Professor at LUISS University of Rome. Currently he teaches and is leading researches in various areas of computer science and mathematics. In particular Rocchi is investigating software defect handling and the optimization of ICT change management.
