Reserach Fellow PhD in Management of Information Systems. Dissertation: "On the Impact of IT on Value Generating Activities inside Organizations: an Ontology Based Approach" Topics My primary research interest concerns the identificaiton of methods to exploit the full capabilities delivered by IT in organizations. In particular, during my PhD I have investigated the relationships between IT infrastructure and core value generating activities in a company. In my PhD dissertation I propose a new approach to model the relationships between IT infrastructure components and core value generating activities in an organisation. The proposed approach defines a feasible methodology to identify strategic competencies and skills in the IT infrastructure necessary to support core value generating activities. The proposed approach has been partially empirically tested. Besides this topic, which has been my primary research interest during the PhD, I have also worked in the field of knowledge management, Business Modeling, and Open Source software.
